Circus Building Saved by Peru Fire Dept.

May 10, 2008. The Circus Building in Peru, Indiana was damaged by a fire in an adjacent furniture store. The Peru Fire Dept. is credited with saving the circus building from complete destruction. See our NEWS story on this fire. Photo by Michelle Spohn.

Here is another example of the first class wardrobe that is produced by the Sophia Isadora Academy of Circus Arts in San Diego, CA. This is Miss Sadie Lindley at a show called "The Looking Glass". Notice the traditional circus ring that she is working in.

Circus Smirkus Under The Big Top

Raising the Circus Big Top

When it comes to setting up the giant circus big top, a daily chore on the Carson & Barnes Circus, even the elephants help out. It takes about 4 hours to set up the tent, and place the seats, lights, and circus props inside.
