PAL Sailor Circus in Sarasota, FL has a special guest.

Flying Trapeze Great, Tony Steele visits The Flying Gabbiano'sThe first trapeze flyer in history to perform the 3 1/2 somersault, Tony Steele, has become quite the fan of youth circuses. After all, that is how he got his start some 56 years ago! In the above photo, left to right: Coach Jeff Voyles, Julia Backlund (16), Tony Steele (?), Morgan Wyatt (16), Nathon Deets (17), Heather Hickok, (17), Coach Susan Loeffler, and Emily Wyatt (15) The "Flying Gabbiano's" got their name from former coach Bill Lee. It seems the kids were always talking while up on the pedestal board. Coach Lee's famous line was "Quit your gabbing and get to work!" Show director Patty Campbell says the name has kept over the years, and the kids are still gabbing up there!
